Thank you for visiting Salty Seas Leather. My name is Scott, and I am a full-time firefighter/EMT in South Carolina. I decided to try out a new hobby towards the end of the Covid-19 pandemic. I realized how much I enjoyed working with leather. With the help and patience of my wife, we developed a few products for first responders that combined quality, strength, and durability into cost-effective and fully customizable products. As a firefighter, I understand the struggles of needing a comfortable and sturdy radio strap that also expresses my personality. All our products are built to withstand the harsh working conditions that firefighters, EMT's and Paramedics deal with every day. We promise our straps are firefighter proof. Who makes the products? Scott and Ashley Strayhorn founded Salty Seas Leather in 2021. Scott is a full-time firefighter who does most of the sewing, stitching, and prep work, while Ashley does most of the paint and bookkeeping. We exclusively do everything from ordering supplies to making and shipping the products. What sets your products apart? First and foremost, we are not a mass-produced product. Every product is made, start to finish, by Scott and Ashley. We only use the highest quality materials while making our products to last you a lifetime. We will never go the "cheap" route. We are consistently working to keep our prices lower than other companies while maintaining higher quality products. How long from when I order will I receive my items? Current lead times are posted on the website homepage and each product page. We work on orders as quickly as we can. **We are not responsible for in-transit times. Once the package is dropped off at the carrier, we have no control over transit time** I want to change something about my order. How do I do that? Besides mailing address, NO changes can be made to an order once it is submitted. We cannot edit an existing order; therefore, we cannot guarantee changes to the original order. If you would like to change, we will cancel and refund your order, and you will need to resubmit. Placing a new order DOES NOT HOLD your original place in the order queue. I have a stamp or character in mind that you do not have listed; what can I do? We constantly add to our stamp selection whenever a request is made. However, if there is a custom design you would like select the "custom stamp option" from the product page and follow the instructions. We will try to accommodate all stamp options that we can.

Warranty, Return, and Shipping info

Warranty Salty Seas Leather stands behind all our products and we provide a Lifetime warranty to All of our products. If you have an issue with any hardware or leather, please reach out to us and we will do our best to resolve the problem. If you have a paint issue within 30 days of purchase, please reach out to us. We cover all issues with our products except for paint fade after 30 days. Due to the circumstances under which our products are used, it is inevitable that with time and the amount of exposure to heat, water, and smoke, the paint will fade or discolor. Unfortunately, there is not yet a paint product on the market that can hold up to the conditions for which firefighters and emergency responders face daily. We will not cover malicious damage to the product. If the product was run over, intentionally cut, painted on, or had any work done by another vendor, etc., it will not be covered under warranty. RETURN & REFUND POLICY Due to the custom nature of our products, we do not offer returns or refunds. Once an order is placed, all custom options selected are final. However, if you have a problem with your order or something did not turn out the way you expected please contact us to make this right. We offer a Lifetime warranty on all our leather products so if something breaks, please contact us to get it fixed up and back into service. We stand behind our product and will repair any problems with straps made in our shop with the exception of malicious treatment and paint fade. SHIPPING INFO You can expect our custom products to be completed within the allotted time on the website and product page.
